Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the contractual relationship between Captain Legal LLC ("Captain.Legal") and any user (the "User") who purchases services on www.captain.legal.
Article 2 — Services offered
Captain.Legal provides an online service for creating, customising and downloading legal documents. Documents are available in PDF and Word format. The templates are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute personalised legal advice.
Article 3 — Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling or euros, including VAT where applicable. Some documents are offered free of charge. Paid documents are processed through secure card payment via PayPal.
Once payment is validated, the User receives a download link valid for 48 hours. An invoice is sent by email.
Article 4 — Right of cancellation
Pursuant to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the right of cancellation does not apply to the supply of digital content where performance has begun with the User's express consent and acknowledgement that the right to cancel is thereby lost.
Article 5 — Licence of use
The purchase of a document grants the User a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for private or professional use. Reselling or redistributing the templates is strictly prohibited.
Article 6 — Liability
The documents provided are templates that must be adapted to each User's situation. Captain.Legal accepts no liability for the use of such documents or any legal consequences arising from their use. For complex matters, it is recommended to consult a qualified solicitor.
Article 7 — Personal data
Data collected during the order is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR. The competent supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Article 8 — Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the User's country of residence. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.
