What is a cookie

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser to remember a session, a preference or a measurement. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can serve the same purpose.

Necessary cookies

They let you sign in, keep the progress of a questionnaire, apply security preferences and complete a payment. They cannot be switched off in the panel because the service would stop working.

Analytics and advertising

Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics measurement cookies) help us understand how the site is used, and advertising cookies help measure campaigns. The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) does not impose an ePrivacy-style prior opt-in for cookies in Hong Kong; we nonetheless apply a consent banner (Consent Mode), and these cookies remain disabled until you accept them where consent is requested.

Managing your choice

You can accept, refuse or configure cookies from the panel shown on the site and change your choice at any time from the “Manage cookies” link in the footer. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.
