Cancel my subscription

Captain.Legal subscriptions — charged monthly from the day you subscribe — are collected through a recurring PayPal billing agreement. While your subscription remains active, you can create an unlimited number of legal documents, downloadable in PDF and Word. You can cancel whenever you like, free of charge and without giving a reason.

Sign in, open your dashboard and go to the “Subscription” section. Confirm the cancellation: your subscription stops renewing immediately and no further payment is taken.

1. Sign in to your account on paypal.com.
2. Click the Settings icon at the top right.
3. Open the “Payments” tab, then “Manage automatic payments”.
4. In the list of merchants, select “Captain Legal” (sometimes shown as “Camines LLC”).
5. Click “Cancel” and confirm.

2. Tap your profile picture, then “Settings”.
3. Select “Automatic payments”.
4. Choose “Captain Legal”, then “Cancel subscription”, and confirm.

• Future charges stop: nothing more is taken from your account.
• You keep access until the end of the period already paid; the current period is not refunded pro rata.
• You can subscribe again from the website at any time.

As a consumer, you generally have a cancellation period of 14 days for a distance contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Where the supply of a digital service has begun immediately at your express request, the specific rules of that Act on services supplied during the cancellation period apply. This contractual cancellation policy — cancel at any time, free of charge — does not affect your mandatory rights. In the event of a dispute, you can seek information from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (ccpc.ie).
